Welcome to Fun on the Green Lowestoft 2011.

The London 2012 ‘Open Weekend’ is an annual UK-wide celebration of art, culture, sport and everything that makes up the London 2012 Games. It’s an opportunity for local community groups to showcase themselves and inspire others. To this end The Lowestoft Tourism Group are staging another "Fun on the Green Event" as part of the National “London 2012 Open Event - Rise to the Challenge” on The Royal Green on Sunday 24 July 2011.

The event will run 11.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m with the main arena showcasing events headlined once again by the Waveney Gymnastics Club.

This event is being staged by the Lowestoft Tourism Group in order to raise funds to create a new & exciting Flagship Children's Adventure Play Area on land adjacent to The Royal Green, for the benefit of both local residents & visitors to the town. Details and plans will be on display on the day & we welcome all comments & suggestions for the scheme.
